As a Commercial Banking Associate, you will work closely with Relationship Managers, Credit Analysts, and business clients to deliver banking solutions that support growth, expansion, and long-term financial success. This position provides valuable exposure to commercial lending, treasury management, business banking, risk assessment, and client relationship management. Key Responsibilities

  • Support commercial banking teams in managing client relationships, account portfolios, and day-to-day banking activities.
  • Analyze financial statements, business performance, cash flow trends, and credit information to support client recommendations.
  • Assist with loan origination, underwriting, credit approval, and documentation processes.
  • Prepare client presentations, financial reports, portfolio reviews, and account analysis materials.
  • Identify opportunities to provide commercial banking products, treasury solutions, and financial services that meet client needs.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and identify potential credit, operational, or financial risks.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure efficient execution and a high level of client service.
  • Support Relationship Managers with business development efforts, prospecting activities, and client retention initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records, account documentation, and compliance-related materials for banking activities.
  • Ensure adherence to banking regulations, internal controls, and company policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong financial analysis and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Understanding of banking products, commercial lending principles, and business financial statements.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, professional, and team-oriented environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience preparing financial reports or analytical models.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to identify issues, assess risk, and support informed decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial banking, corporate banking, credit analysis, or financial services.
  • Knowledge of commercial lending, underwriting, and credit approval processes.
  • Experience with financial modeling, portfolio management, or business performance analysis.
  • Experience supporting business clients, relationship managers, or commercial banking teams.
  • Professional certifications such as CFA or progress toward relevant financial industry credentials.
