Citibank is seeking a motivated and detail-focused Credit Risk Analyst to join its dynamic Risk Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating credit exposures, analyzing financial risk factors, monitoring portfolio performance, and supporting strategic risk management initiatives across a broad range of banking and lending products.
As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will play a critical role in assessing borrower creditworthiness, reviewing financial data, and providing recommendations that contribute to informed lending decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Review financial statements, credit reports, and borrower documentation to assess risk exposure.
- Evaluate customer creditworthiness and identify potential lending risks.
- Monitor loan portfolios and track overall portfolio performance.
- Prepare comprehensive credit risk assessments and management reports.
- Perform financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Support credit approval, review, and risk evaluation processes.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal risk policies.
- Identify emerging trends and potential risks across lending portfolios.
- Partner with business units to strengthen risk controls and mitigation strategies.
- Present findings, insights, and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience analyzing financial statements and credit-related information.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities.
