Google Cloud is looking for a highly skilled Cloud Support Engineer to join its global technical support team. In this role, you will help customers successfully deploy, manage, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud-based infrastructure and applications running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will work directly with businesses, developers, system administrators, and enterprise customers to resolve complex technical issues while ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of cloud environments. This role is ideal for someone with strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on cloud knowledge, and a passion for helping customers succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical support for Google Cloud Platform products and services.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure, networking, storage, and applications.
  • Assist customers with deploying, configuring, and optimizing cloud environments.
  • Investigate performance, scalability, and reliability concerns across cloud systems.
  • Analyze logs, system metrics, and diagnostic data to identify root causes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to resolve advanced technical issues.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and solution articles.
  • Support containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Help customers implement cloud security best practices and operational standards.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction while meeting support quality and service-level targets.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, infrastructure, and platform services.
  • Experience with Linux systems administration and troubleshooting.
  • Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals, including DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancing.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple technical issues and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in technical support, IT operations, cloud engineering, or a related role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration technologies.
  • Experience with scripting or automation using Python, Bash, or similar tools.
  • Google Cloud certifications, such as Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud certifications.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and infrastructure automation practices.
